Of a day trip to OBAN

Finally, got my butt out to elsewhere in Scotland besides Edinburgh and Glasgow. OBAN!!
A notification of power-cut brought up the idea of a one day trip to the land known for its affordable and freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh seafood.

Took the train for the first time in Glasgow, apart from the 10 minute subway ride I've been on. Got the tickets late, thus said bye bye to 18pds for a return ride.

The ride there was somewhat different, though of course I resort to sleeping most of the time to prevent motion sickness from kicking in. The countryside with sheeps, the snow mountains, the lakes, even the train track.. Felt like as if I was watching a movie. ^___^ Wahlaa!

The journey lasted for 3 hours before we finally stepped onto Oban-land :D The whole country feeling you get there with elderly populations and gorgeous views, not to forget FRESSSSHHHH seafood is how I would describe Oban.

Everyone was already feeling hungry smelling the seawater and it was already lunch time. So, we headed to a restaurant overlooking the sea called Eee-usk or something like that. Had the seafood platter and set lunch shared between Kai Xin, Yan and myself. Pretty awesome!
We actually spent quite a lot of time at the dock taking photos too! :D

Guess they chose a perfect day to go Oban as the weather was good! The sun was up though it was a little cold at the start and towards the ending. Pro photographers are all out there to snap away.

Oh, they also have this mini colosseum on the hill, being one of the tourist spot. We lingered around that area for probably a good half an hour. LoL.

P/S: Photos displayed are taken from Yan's and Mun Yee's fb.

Duh, not like I've any sort of skill for that. :D

After touring around with a few failed attempts to get some fresh seafood from the market (closed on Mondays, or closed for two weeks ):, we decided to go for another round of food, comprising mainly fish and chips and oysterS.

Yes to oysters since I didn't have much of it during lunch time. So we went to this small shop, called FISH AND CHIPS? (I think) with limited (and didn't taste as good) oysters left and good fish and chips. Hot hottttttttttt!! :D

Left the place at about 6pm and reached Glasgow 3 hours later. Filled with hair covering moments and shut eyes! :D :D

Also, came back with nyum-nyum supper served, a round of maggie goreng cooked by Mar-Jie. weee.. life is good!

Love. xoxoxoxxo
