Of Bangkok and Phuket trip

Few months ago, Jyun was excitedly keeping herself updated with the flight promotions to our neighbour at the north side. From going to one place, then we decided to just go for both as the flight fare was pretty awesome for flying to two different places within the same country.
Roughly about RM270 if I'm not mistaken for our flight from KUL-BKK-PKT-KUL

Nyummy.

Blogger has new layout, it's my first time logging in after the last post here! Lol. Not so used to the new look yet.

Anyhoot, Jyun and I took the bus to LCCT from KL Sentral on the 6th of May (Friday) in the morning. Met up with Mar-Jie and Mun Yee there itself and checked in only minutes before counter closed *grin*

Waited a little, had my Subway that was bought from Sentral.. and another bun I brought along.

Boarded, Waited,

Arrival at Destination.

Bangkok.

Took a cab to our budget hotel (Eight Inn) at Sukhumvit. The room was meant for two person, thus Mar-Jie and I were just walking along the street checking the place out. Filled with massage parlours and eateries, not to forget white people! We were joined by Mun Yee and Jyun later again, headed to Chinatown by the MRT for a little food. Oh! sorta got conned by the tuk-tuk fella for charging 40baht to get to our first destination after settling down! That was to get to ONE place only.

Had seafood by the roadside and didn't walk much as it was still early and stalls doesn't open till the clock strikes 8pm.

While trying to cross the road at one point, we were greeted by a polite stranger who suddenly became our little planner for the night. Trust me, I was actually a little scared incase he turned out to be some cunning fella who con INNOCENT people like us who just reached there. Suggested places that we could go, which we went... cause he already told the tuk-tuk guy who awesomely charged us only 40baht to 3 different places, which wasn't very near to each other.

Look for this sign at the tuk-tuk for the standard price-ride of 40 baht

There we were at the Export Centre (no idea why he thought we should go there.. probably for the older generation). Then to the International Booking Office (IBO) to get tickets for aqua show. But not only that we got ourselves, we also got places booked for island hopping in Phuket for the following Tuesday! Was bargaining with Mr. Joker(that's really his name) there who attended to us. Like Mad. ^__^ Didn't get to watch the lady-boy show that night though, it was FULLHOUSE.. so the next night that is.

Me 'riding' the tuk-tuk!!

Anyhoot, went to MBK for a little while.. and got ourselves breakfast for the next day.. and this is where the bad part from my side begun!
'Don't steal my bread pleaseeeee!'-Jyun
I knew I am sort of lactose intolerant and thought maybe chocolate milk would do.. and had a HUGE glass of it the following morning along with some bread we got for 50% off. Little did I know, it didn't do me good at all. Signs of nausea and vomiting surfaced while we were boarding the train to Siam Square the next morning. As I fasten up my pace to get to the washroom after getting directions from the security guard.. Well, Hello Siam Paragon.. which I greeted by throwing up in within 10 steps, on the floor.. yikes. Smelled like puke the whole day cause my clothes were stained a little from that awesome morning. Bleah.

In Platinum Mall, so be it if you have fever.. strike a pose for the camera~ LOL

Cleaned up a little before walking around. Had diarrhoea also. Spent a little time walking from one mall to another, having nothing to buy cause the shops are pretty similar with those in KL. Then, headed to Platinum Mall by tuk-tuk. Didn't find anything interesting, or maybe I was feeling unwell to be all hyped out with the stuffs there. Somemore the crowd was not doing me good! Bleah. Fever kicked in not long after we walked around. Had to call it a day for myself and sat at some corner and have them do their shopping and walking before the time to leave to Asia Hotel for Calypso (aqua-show) Cabaret.

By the way, apparently the two most famous ones are Calypso and Mambo.. So take your pick if you were to get there in the future! :

Headed there by taxi but the driver took a little detour cause we wanted to grab dinner. But left the place he took us to, without even thinking twice cause it's like some tourist centred hotspot for food, we don't want to get chopped moneywise. Hailed another taxi to take us back to Asia Hotel and had some food along the street.

Waited for a little while before proceeding to the hall. RM70 for the ticket plus a complementary drink. Not too bad I guess. The show was good, some were average and omgee cannot believe how awesome they can keep their body in shape that well though one or two appear to have a little belly! *smile* Pretty impressed some story plots and how they move so quickly to change and prop up! Damn sure it's tiring to do thattttt just.

Headed hope by train after that and decided to call it a night! I caught a cold earlier and so definitely did wrapped myself up with 3 layers of clothings to sweat a little that night after swallowing panadol.

And wallaaaaaa! Am so okay for the weekend market the next morning! All well again and didn't need to worry shit, and of course I didn't touch the chocolate milk!

We headed down to Jatujak (chatuchak) on the lovely Sunday morning by skytrain and spent the whole morning till late noon there. Got myself some stuffs, and again.. it's really isn't that cheap in my opinion.. You could get stuffs from TimeSquare at a slightly expensive price, prolly by 5 bucks or so. But of course there are more choices here ranging from clothes to accessories, housewares, and what nots. Had lunch at some stall along the market also! Was walking pass some kebab stalls also.. The smell was damnnnn alluring but didn't get any at the end. Eeeeks!

Cute tao XD PROFILE PIC
Anyhoot, headed to see the four-face Buddha shrine on the way back. Tiny Tiny little idol beside a mall. Hmmmm.. Nothing much, not many people at that particular time.
Got our asses back at the hotel and treat ourselves with some thai massage a few shops away from our hotel for RM30. Weee!! But Mar-Jie didn't come with us. Eeeks. I overheard the masseur saying that the thai massage in Thailand is quite different from the ones in Malaysia. Ngek Ngek.. It wasn't enough for me and my back still hurts the next morning -______-

Walked around the neighbourhood that night and ate tepi jalan food. ^___^ Had some really spicy beef noodles cause we added a little too much chilly. XD Also tried some tom yum recommended by the hotel workers.. A little too sweet for me. Till my 3rd day, I still hasn't taste the perfect tom yum.. We tried a few already by that time.

We chilled in the room and didn't do much for the rest of the night.
Nope, we didn't go and try out the nightlife there.
And apparently Cowboy Street is a popular spot for guys looking forrrrr the opposite sex according to Jyun. But we didn't go le ba, we practice safety first. LOL

NEXT morning, we packed and checked out. Waited for the taxi driver we got during the previous night, RM30 to the airport including tol! Pretty good bargain I guess? XD
But we got to the hotel on the first day by paying RM45.

All ready for Phuket! Weeee... but sorethroat and cold sore decided to give me a visit! Good for me.. BOOO!

Till the next post! I know photos supposed to complement the stories but I'm to lazy to save the photos up! Lol. Can see it from Mun Yee's facebook!, facebook!, facebook!! Weeeeeeeeee!! Took my whole morning to think and type.. Lol!
