Of Bangkok and Phuket trip-Part II

Alright, pick up from where I stopped..

With some help, we checked-in via computer and said bye bye to a few bags also. Wowwweeee.. 15kg wasn't enough! overweight-so Jyun had to carry her bag, and threw away some liquid products upon entering the boarding area. yikes! Wasted!! She just bought somemore. If only the attendant at the baggage check-in counter didn't hit the conveyer button so fast.. could have saveeeee them!!

Anyway, visited Boots to get some acyclovir cream for this damn HSV virus spreading under my lips. I didn't think twice when the pharmacist took a huge tube for me, only to realise how much it cost after paying in baht-my conversion skills is that bad! I keep forgetting. I thought it was only RM6++ but after comfirming with Mar-Jie, I actually paid an ass-whooping RM60++. It's some GSK product! So, I reached for another smaller tube by Boots and requested if I could change my purchase. Thank goodness they are kind enough to me ^__^ Paid RM18++ for the small 2g tube also. I wanna get a job there already, legal drug dealer or something! Lol. Expensive ahh..

Bla bla bla.. don't wanna hear my boring story.. skip skip.

Nothing much going around the airport.. waited, boarded and arrived in the noon at PHUKET... Got a car to get ourselves to the hotel, but stopped by at a travel agent as requested by the taxi driver. The usual system, get customers to the centre, introduced to all sorts of packages and activities. There's actually quite a number of stuffs you can do, provided you have the $$$$ bling bling $$$$ for it! :p Didn't take any since we've already purchased ours back in Bangkok itself..
So, the taxi driver was probably at loss with no commision in hand.. However, we booked a car-ride back to the airport on the day of departure from Phuket for RM55.. And we paid RM50 to get to the hotel. One hour +/- journey both ways.. So, I guess kind of okay? :D

Reached Gallery Hotel, but didn't pull out some silly act by having only two people there to check in this time around.. Too many luggages, quite impossible for two people to carry. ^__^
So, that was our mistake. Later on that.

We sent in our luggages. Rest a little before walking down to feed our hungry stomach! It was already late noon and we didn't had much for breakfast! *teeheee*
Walked around the tiny town, and bumped into this place Number 6, which was pretty crowded.
Either the food is good, or it's reasonable in price. So, we dined in there! The food is okay, price wise.. comparatively to other restaurants.. cheap le ba!

Walked around after our super late lunch and checked out the ugly not pretty bitch beach also. The waves were rough and skies weren't too friendly to us.
I sat down at the lazy chairs on the beach, only to find out on the 3rd day that they are actually for rent, NOT free. -___-

Anyhoot, the wind was so strong and it was a like a sand storm going around. Got our bodies glued with sand while walking back to the hotel.

Rest a little and went downstairs. I don't really remember the order! bleah.. Did I take a shower? Which I highly doubt so.. or did this happen earlier? I cannot remember!!!

THIS:
They weren't very kind to us and told Jyun that we need to get another room in the evening when we came down. YIKKEEESS!! Another room cost about RM100 per night at the hotel, so we decided to walk around to find for a cheaper one. Got ourselves to Nouveau Guest House, RM50 for a night.. We booked a room for two nights then. Kaching-kaching!! Sudden cut from budget. Mar-Jie and I stayed at the guesthouse meanwhile Jyun and Mun Yee at the initial one. But I guess most of the time spent at the hotel instead! Lol unless to gain access to the internet and get some sleep, we're down at Nouveau.
Bad thing about groundfloor room though, bound to be a little noisy. ^__^

Lol at myself.

Anyway, walked out also at night to grab dinner and check out the nightlife in Patong. True to what Mar-Jie said.. 50% of the population there are probably white people. Turn your head to the left right up down also there's mat salleh around and some single men with escortSS There's this street which is a hotspot for bars and clubs. Not only that, also locals on the street selling stuffs and persuading you to go for ping-pong show. Wonder why they carry that name. Probably boobs going around ke-ping ke-pong. :p I wouldn't know I didn't sign myself up to go. Maybe you can tell me if so happens you pay a visit next time. BUT BEWARE

Mun Yee's friend kind of got ripped off by some underground-ping-pong-show-biz. So much for experience, her friend and the bf got the tickets thinking it's for a RM100 but once they got in, doors were closed and you had to add RM900 to what they thought it cost, before you could get out. True story. Or something like that. :p

Anyway, didn't do much for the night.. Just walk and walk till it's time to hit the hay!

Next morning was all about getting ready for Island Hopping. Waited for the van to pick us up at the hotel and took quite a long time before reaching the port. It's not a good thing when you have sorethroat and decided to drink a lot of water and sit for a long journey on bumpy roads and turnings, not knowing when you are reaching your destination. It was a relieve to get your butt down the van, and get directions even so the toilet stink like mad cause water supply was out but you had no other choice, unless you wanna jump straight into the sea to the toilet.

They had some coffee and tea served, and the best part was when the tour guide was kind enough to distribute some sea-sickness pills. Thank goodness! I completely missed that one out. Oh, I do really need them cause I've motion sickness since young by the way.

Waited a while longer before a short briefing and got onto the speedboat. By the way. I don't think you need to rent the flippers.. if you're wearing your lifejacket.. no way your feet can reach the thorny sea creature that looks straight at your face as though they wanna POKE you real hard. Lol. You can see them when you snorkel! Yeap, don't need flippers.. ^__^

Their version of tuk-tuk

Journey to the island wasn't so bad, but at one point the boat stopped in the middle of the sea.. engine malfunctioned and the waves were hitting the boat real hard. Salute fishermen with tiny weeny boats. Luckily didn't throw up, the lady from Hong Kong beside me did though.. Didn't caught a sight of it so I'm safe. Oh we had a little conversation with the Hongkies sitting next to us. Thank goodness for the dialect I speak, finally.. Though of course, not fluent at any rate.

Upon every destination reached, the tour guide gave some introduction bout the islands. ^__^ She must really loves the sea :p Damn tanned! Good service on the boat also! Drinks are provided and they even have pineapples and watermelons served. Nyums. so Caribbean-like!  Only if they have white sand beaches and clear water. EEeeeeks.

Snorkelled at some, and sightseeing at some. Photos says it.

We skipped Marina Bay by the way. Apparently it wasn't in a good condition for us to visit..
Snorkelled at Phi Phi Lay instead.

Before leaving Phi Phi Lay
On the boat at Cove Island

Pileh Cove. If only we can jump inside and snorkel here instead!!

Viking Cove

Next, was to Monkey Bay.
Seriously, they can just bring us to any island without any monkey and called it 'NO MONKEY Island'

ANY, I am serious. Cause we're just tourists and sure enough all the island look the same from near. Lol. Unless you're some geography expert maybe..

Risked a shot with the busy monkey. Lol.
Saw a monkey attacking one of the visitor before this photo was snapped. Kind of scared.. Hence, stand a little further back then.

Sexy babes with sexy monkey at the back.

Had buffet-style lunch (included in package). Not appetizing but what the heck, when you are hungry.. everything goes. Mar-Jie was so excited when she saw spaghetti, she's been craving for it!

Got back in the evening, got a ride back to the hotel.
Didn't hit the shower straight.. Jyun, Mun Yee and I were chilling at the swimming pool. Mar-Jie went back to the guesthouse for a shower before me.
Had a little jacuzzi moments. Didn't do my back good, again -____-

Weeeehoo.. got the heart-shaped-shades for RM5 from Jatujak. Got scratches already T.T Sad.

Mar-Jie got sunburnt at a specific spot.. her shoulders.. and nose.. Hehehehee.. Look so cuteeeeee!!

Night time involved walking around and eating at this pretty decent place, Pum Restaurant. Service was a bit slow, but waitresses were so polite.. and food was average, I give thumbs up to the ambience.. lol.. compared to the other places we makan-makan throughout the whole trip.. :p

Oh... some stupid thing happened also when we were walking around. Looked for some flip-flops around the tiny market. Got a crazy offer of RM50 for each pair, where other stalls probably sell it for RM20.. and also said 'CRAZY' aloud, in my defense.. referring to the price.. and the fella was offended and shouted to my ears.. 0__0 what an ass.. and followed by a little F.. here F.. there by him when I was walking away.. Lols!!

Sometimes, I forget about what others may feel about words I say. whhhoopppiess.

Went to the beach also but no star-gazing moments, only darkness in front of you, and above you. -____-
Got a bottle of Chang and went back to the hotel. Played some games.. drink a little.. and called it a night.

Our flight was at night on the third day.

Mar-Jie and I got up pretty early, so we walked out to get some breakfast and look around. Tried some pork burger from 7-11. Nyummy!! Why didn't I thought of pork burgers until my last day there -____- sorry, bit jakun.. First time out of my country. ^__^

By the way, did I mentioned about night market selling porn dvds and ehem-devices along the streets in BKK in the previous post? So different from here! Lol.

My favourite witty animalllll! :D I'm gonna swim alongside them someday..
Got back to the hotel after a long walk..
We checked out when the clock hits ~12pm.  But left our luggages there to walk around ^__^

So, toured around the town for the whole day.. visited Jungceylon, mall at Patong.. chilled at the beach and chang-ed it up a little. (THAI beer-Chang)

Spent a little more of dinner, involved seafood. Gotta love their lime juice-garlic-parsley-steam fish. You can get it here also!! At a pond-side restaurant after Look Out Point Ampang.
Finally, also some decent Tom Yum.

Walked back to the hotel to grab our stuffs.Taxi came early. Weeeeee..

Nyummy.. Got to the airport... waited for quite a bit before departure..
Some stranger approached Mun Yee and they hung out a little while over coffee! Lol. True story.

Boarded, departed, arrived!

Say hello to Malaysia!!

Walked quite a distance before reaching the immigration counter. Bought stuffs from the duty free store and got the bags. Bought bus tickets on the way out.. Sped our way to the bus stop..

AND BAM.

Weeeeeeeeeee!!! Somebody made a surprise appearance at the airport.. But I was babbling away about how we wasted money and got the bus tickets already. Lol. Sorry sweetie.

JC came to pick us up. ^______^ So sweet, so sweet.  The bald version of him by the way! LOL..
Catched up during the journey home, smiling from ear to ear. ^__^

The rest is history.

Love. Mwah.

Not screening back on what I've typed. Probably has lotsa grammar error/s. Excuse me.. it's long to scroll up and down.

Some photos are from Mun Yee's FB. ^_^

Note: I didn't like Phuket much. Boohooo!  Go to other island alright! ^__^
