Madrid -24-26th May

Wink wink! ;) Forgive for my absence from updates!
Anyway, to continue from my Exeter post, it's Madrid and Porto before I put an end to my roughly 15 days of break.
I had to catch a night flight from London to Madrid to meet up with the rest but my flight was delayed. I was glad that they were being very patient to wait for me even though they were already feeling exhausted from travelling to Madrid on the same night itself! *smiles*
And they put up a sign saying "Jo Lene" somemore!! Out of having too much time thanks to my late arrival!
We headed to the apartment soon after, a little small, but it was good enough! Above all, the owner was a nice gentleman.
Anyhoot.. my head is filled with nothing to go on by days. Forgot to note it down this time around, shall just go through some photos and details so that we can walk down memory lane someday.
:D
Madrid.
Lotsa walking, lotsa underground train, lotsa places covered too!!
It was sunny when we were there, but better than Italy still!
I remember the first few stops being...
Temple of Debod

THESE...

Plaza de Espana
Royal Palace of Madrid..Plaza Mayor.. Omgee.. It was a football season. Streets were filled with locals wearing red-white striped jerseys. Damn.. I think we only see it in the stadium here :D
Too many photos ba.. took some out. D:

El Retiro Park. Somewhere you would go for a walk.. leisure walk.. I wonder if it iced during the winter.. It'll be a damn good skating ring!
Outside the glass palace.. Can you see the rainbow?! Wait till you see the next one we encountered!!
I remember spending quite a huge amount of time in the park itself, cause it was so huge and everybody was tired! Had my first try of Sangria, a popular drink in Spain.. Or maybe barce too. No idea.. Nice! Saw it in the menu last night when I was out :D

Bullfight ticket
One of the popular entertainment in Madrid that one should not miss is the definitely the Bull Fight! We headed to Plaza De Toros for that. No, I don't enjoy them torturing the bull very much.. It was just an eye opening experience to me. From knowing nuts about bullfight to the time I actually took wiki-ing it up. It is held every Friday to Sunday only anyway.
Good call from sister. :D Oh please oh please!! Do, when you pick your seat... not the ones facing the sun. Pay a little bit more than having a good time barbeque-ing your own butt! Then again, there are people who were selling cushions to ease the heat.
I was lucky also because a kind uncle passed me a few newspaper sheets. Still, it didn't help much. Hence, buy the ticket wisely! :p

Had another round of walking around the infamous park, named Parque de El Capricho. A very relaxing place out of the hustle bustle of the city. Knowing girls.. we tend to spare a lot of times taking photos. :D Oh oH oH!!!!

While we were on  our way back to the train station!! WAHLAAA!!!
My first encounter.. Rainbow amongst clouds.. Or cloud rainbow.. Or.. I dunno, you name it!

Wonders of nature really.. It's so marvelous we stood there a good half an hour just to snap more photos :D

Oh!! I remember trying Paelle one of the days we were there. Expensive Paella. Unique in its own way I would say, but not something that I will definitely miss. XD

Shall end this post with the pretty rainbow cloud. till the next one! ;)
