Of First Trip in Scotland-Destination: EDINBURGH

It was sort of a spontaneous plan to visit Edinburgh. From not going because a 2 days 1 night trip is costly to planning a day trip instead, not much of hassle in decision making from all parties though! Hence, HELLO EDINBURGH on the 1st of July 2011.

It's about an hour and 15 minutes bus ride there from Buchanan Bus Station,we took the 9.15am bus. YES!!!Thanks to my inability, still, to tolerate with moving vehicles as such resulted in ruining my outfit for the day. Yeah, threw up like -____- Then again, it's not an unusual scenario for me to throw up, it's just that I wasn't prepared this time.. No plastic bag no nothing. I thought I've overcome the balance in my ears, probably.. with years of training and stopping motion sickness pill intake. Who would have thought?!

Then, there was like this chain reaction! Ziqian, who was sitting at the back of my row, threw up after me! Probably the sight of me threwing up on myself was disturbing and hence, follow suit. IT'S the BUS RIDE! Most were feeling giddy!! HNG! Just that I'm that bad in this case. LoL. Twice I had the feeling kicking in.. but first time I managed to get a sweet from Ziqian on time.. but not the second. Best solution: Sleep in the bus throughout the journey if you forget to take your pills!

Spent a little time cleaning up in the toilet upon reaching our destination. Thank goodness Mar-Jie brought her sweater along!!! Least I can get out of the filthy shirt which smelled bad before getting another clothing for myself.
Yippppeees!
Die die also wanna hop onto the pillar. outside Scott Monument

There were like 15 of us in the bus plus another group of batchmates, roughly half of the class were there! Lol. Big GROUP I must say.

By the way, Yling was our tourist guide for the day! Thankfully, or else we'll probably waste more time finding for the tourist attractions!
After feeling way more comfortable, walked towards the garden where Scott's Monument were situated at..

Paid 3pnds to get into the Monument. 257 steps if I'm not wrong. The number of steps didn't really matter.. the challenging part was to squeeze through the narrow steps as the entrance IS THE exit. Not much of space for two people to pass each other without any contact. Lol. We stopped at each level to get some photos taken, and also witness the awesome view from up above. Nyums.

Even had a cert for that!!!

outside of Scott Monument L-R:MJ, MY,me,Jyun,Yling! H-TENNNN

Then, everybody was calling for food already by the time we met again. ^__^ Went to a bar for lunch before heading to Carlton Hill after some enquiries at the tourist information centre.

Lunch at Burns Bothy-nyummy fish and chips!

It was about 15 minutes walk from where we were, and didn't took us long before getting close to the monuments where you see so many others have photos of it in their album when they visit Edinburgh.

At Carlton Hill!! ^__^

A little awesome chillax time we had there!! Nice view again, nice sun, nice sky. It was a good day for a trip that involves a lot of walking!

Next stop was Arthur's Seat. Roughly about 15 minutes walk from Carlton to the bottow of the hill.. On our way there, we passed by a field filled with marching bands doing their rounds. Apparently THE QUEEN was there. Everybody was franctically waving goodbyes and ran towards the cars as she left the place.. I think I still cannot consider that I've seen her. Lol.

The one hour walk hike up hill was tiring but motivating at the same time. if you were to visit this hill, please do remember to put on your most comfy walking shoes!!! It's crazy to walk with flats.. even crazier to walk with heels. Lol. Salute Ziqian for wearing her 5 inches and managed to get to the top with a little help from Khai Qian. *applause*
At the top of the hill of Arthur's Seat. ^__^ Die die also wanna go till the top!

You can see the view of the sea, as well as the city at two different sides. Awesome possum! Beautifullll... I personally, have always like to look at the sea and sky afar where there is this point they look like they are 'attached' yet giving the feeling that there's no boundaries ahead. Just so freeeeeeeeeee.. freeeeeeeee....

Nyums.

We walked down, and headed to Royal Miles, an infamous street where bars and pubs are situated at..  also lotsa shops selling traditional Scottish attires and what nots.

Royal Miles

Went to our last stop, which was the Castle.. but unfortunately it was already half pass 6 and the castle visiting hours if from 9am to 6pm, 5.30pm for the last entry. *sobs*

I guess, there's always another time!

Thus, ended up in the Whisky Building for a little while as there's time to spare.
Half of us indulged in yummy Mexican dishes before leaving for the bus station.

DINNER at Pancho Villas-A variety of nyummy tortillas, fajistas etc.

Boarded the bus at 9pm and got back here without 2nd round of embarassing myself in the bus, thanks to the exhausting day.. Slept throughout the ride!
